Hi Benya, and thank you for sharing this story. I am a compulsive overeater/sugar addict and am slowly killing myself. Yesterday, my blood sugar was 496 when I tested it (normal range should be 80 to 120). I am praying that this BOTTOM can propel me to recovery. I am praying this can be one of the last BOTTOMS that I hit. BAD TIMES CAN BE GOOD TEACHERS, RIGHT? How did you move from active alcoholism to recovery? Do you atend a lot of meetings to support your recovery? My sponsor has me going daily, which is a lot easier than it would be in person, since most everything is currently on Zoom.
