I will plan to find White Fragility on audio — in fact, I have to do the dishes now (including washing a lot of extra stuff to donate to Goodwill, so it will be almost an hour) and will see what my Google speaker can play. I agree with you that I certainly did not see this incident, or my essay, in the context of “the history of caste in America” and I thank you for pointing that out. We are all learning a lot.
