Addiction Story #6, Petunia: You Didn’t Apologize, But I Did

I quickly realized why I dove into the kiddie popcorn and rubbery pizza. It’s fitting that this story, #6 in my sugar addiction series, is named for the ruffly flower my husband and I loved to grow as newlyweds. We planted them in every color, from magenta to hot pink. (On Thursday, I didn’t know what my next topic would be, only its title.) In 1991, we were new gardeners and just learning to live together; I still see many more lessons ahead.
